Enameled cast iron Dutch Oven
The Combekk “De Librije” limited edition is unique in multiple ways. At first because this Dutch Oven is developed with top chef Jonnie Boer. His restaurant has 3 Michelin stars and he is the best chef of The Netherlands for decades. Combekk Dutch Ovens are always made from 100% recycled iron and because De Librije is based in an old prison, this range is casted from old prison bars and doors. There are only 500 pieces produced and all pieces have an unique number on the bronze knob.
This Dutch Oven is quality with Dutch origin. Completely enamelled cast iron with a functional design of fully recycled material. Enamelled cast iron cookware retains heat and creates a uniform heat distribution across the pan. This makes it perfect for slow-cooking, braising, roasting and many other ways of cooking. No wonder the best chef of The Netherlands “Jonnie Boer” is still cooking in cast iron.
A cast iron pan is called a “Dutch Oven” across the globe. The name “Dutch Oven” refers to a manufacturing technique in which molten iron is poured into a sand mold. The Dutch invented this technique and therefore we are very proud that we are the only brand casting our full range in the Netherlands. A Dutch Oven from the Netherlands, as it should be!
